Do individuals combine different coping strategies to manage their stress in the aftermath of psychological contract breach over time? A longitudinal study

This study examines the dynamic interaction between perceptions of psychological contract breach (PCB), negative emotions, and stress over time. Additionally, we determine if individuals could be differentiated based on coping profiles, further assessed whether emotional reactions to PCB time varied as a function these profiles. Using longitudinal design, sample 1077 employees working in various industries completed monthly questionnaire for six consecutive months reporting their PCB, reactions, ensuing mechanisms. Results from latent growth analysis revealed that confronted with increasing levels reported growing due escalating emotions. Moreover, profile performed two randomly selected subgroups there were three profiles within our (i.e., low copers, average-problem-focused high-problem-and-emotion-focused copers).
